This past Saturday, more viewers prescribed to DOCTOR WHO’s dose of electrifying sci-fi drama than any other program in its time slot on Canadian television. Nearly 400,000 viewers clocked in at 9 p.m. ET for SPACE’s signature series, beating out competing Canadian conventional and specialty networks.* DOCTOR WHO episodes are also available online at spacecast.com for seven days after premiere broadcast.

With only six episodes of DOCTOR WHO remaining, fans can celebrate the season finale of this critical and ratings hit with an INNERSPACE live-to-air special Saturday, July 24 at 10 p.m. ET. From SPACE headquarters at 299 Queen St. W in Toronto, hosts Ajay Fry and Teddy Wilson cap off the season finale in front of a live studio audience. More details about this live-to-air special are to be announced, including guest panelists and live web chats.

In the upcoming episode of DOCTOR WHO, it’s 2020 and the most ambitious drilling project in history has reached deeper beneath the Earth’s crust than man has ever gone before – but now the ground itself is fighting back. The Doctor, Amy and Rory arrive in a tiny mining village and find themselves plunged into a battle against a deadly danger from a bygone age. Episode 8, “The Hungry Earth” premieres Saturday, June 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

When it comes to genre programming, SPACE continues to reign supreme. DOCTOR WHO joins a long list of viewer hits including SANCTUARY, EUREKA, Saturday Night Movie and STARGATE UNIVERSE, which draws in an average of 420,000 viewers.**
