With only five days to go until Canada’s Music Awards broadcast, CTV announced today its wall-to-wall coverage in support of THE 2010 JUNO AWARDS and the Canadian music industry on its family of conventional and specialty television, radio and online properties. From ETALK, MuchMusic, CANADA AM and CHUM Radio, to junos.CTV.ca, Bravo! and FashionTelevisionChannel, CTV Inc.’s extensive programming devoted to THE 2010 JUNO AWARDS will be seen across the various news and entertainment platforms again this year. THE 2010 JUNO AWARDS airs Sunday, April 18 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV (visit junos.ctv.ca to confirm local broadcast times), preceded by five hours of JUNO-related programming earlier in the day on CTV. The broadcast will be made available on demand on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca on Monday, April 19.
“THE 2010 JUNO AWARDS is the culmination of coverage that began on CTV the moment the nominations were announced,” said Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc. “The goal is to take advantage of every opportunity, ensuring The Juno Awards receive blanket coverage on all of CTV’s platforms, including conventional, specialty, radio and online.”
MuchMusic is all over THE 2010 JUNO AWARDS, including hosting the official, one-hour, commercial-free Red Carpet special, FANS TAKE OVER THE JUNOS, beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 18. Viewers can also tune into MuchMusic during JUNOS Weekend (April 16-18), when VJs Sarah Taylor, Jesse Giddings and Liz Trinnear go live from the Newfoundland and Labrador capital, covering all of the JUNO Awards action, including Saturday afternoon’s JUNO Fan Fare.
ETALK doesn’t miss a beat of the THE 2010 JUNO AWARDS with its pre and post-show coverage. Since the nominations were announced, ETALK has been providing non-stop coverage to get everyone ready for the big weekend in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The nightly, JUNO Award-themed segments include features on nominees Michael Bublé, Drake, Stereos, Johnny Reid, and Carly Rae Jepsen.
