Leading kids’ broadcaster Corus Entertainment announced today details from its fall 2010 programming line ups for YTV, Nickelodeon (Canada) and Treehouse. Committed to providing viewers with quality content from preschool shows that parents trust, to entertaining live-action comedies and reality programming for kids and their families, to nighttime drama for teens, audiences at home can expect non-stop hits this fall.
THE CAT IN THE HAT KNOWS A LOT ABOUT THAT! – NEW SERIES
Premieres: Saturday, August 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Other times: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sat. at 2 p.m., Sun. at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Produced by Portfolio Entertainment, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! is the first animated series starring the famous children’s book character. With Cat (Martin Short) as their guide, best friends Sally and Nick are transported to all corners of the globe, making natural science discoveries of all kinds. Along for the ride are Cat’s two energetic helpers, the mop-headed zany duo: Thing One and Thing Two. Booting around in Cat’s one-of-a-kind custom vehicle, the Thinga-ma-jigger, the group can travel to the bottom of the sea or shrink down to the size of a bee to discover how honey is made.
3-2-1 LET’S GO – NEW SERIES
Premieres: Wednesday, September 8 at 4 p.m.
The newest Muppet on the block, Abby Cadabby is spreading her fairy wings and is flying over to host 3,2,1 Let’s Go – a half-hour preschool series produced by Sesame Workshop. All 52-episodes of this series feature segments from beloved children’s shows like Play with Me Sesame, Global Grover and Bert and Ernie’s Great Adventures.
