Corus Entertainment’s CMT (Canada) jumps into June with the live broadcast of the 2010 CMT Music Awards. June also delivers the one-hour special Court Yard Hounds: One on One and some fun in the sun with CMT on the Beach.
2010 CMT MUSIC AWARDS – LIVE BROADCAST
Broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and hosted this year by musician Kid Rock, the 2010 CMT Music Awards are set to air on Wednesday, June 9 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Celebrating the best videos in country music, the night includes performances from some of country’s biggest stars, including: Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and more.
Before the awards begin on Wednesday, June 9, viewers can catch the premiere of Lady Antebellum: One on One at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, where the band performs their hit songs “Need You Now” and “American Honey” and chat with CMT’s Paul McGuire.
On Saturday, June 5 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET/9 p.m. to 1 p.m. PT, fans can catch CMT Music Awards Nominee Weekend – a special video flow featuring all the nominees of the upcoming 2010 Music Awards.
COURT YARD HOUNDS: ONE ON ONE
On Saturday, June 26 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT fans can catch the premiere special Court Yard Hounds: One on One. In this one-hour special, Paul McGuire sits down with two members of the Dixie Chicks, sisters Emily Robison and Marti Maguire, to discuss their new endeavour; their band Court Yard Hounds. With a small, intimate audience, the girls perform three songs from their self-titled debut album Court Yard Hounds and share their inspiration for starting their duo band.
CMT ON THE BEACH
This June, viewers can tune in to CMT on the Beach to join CMT hosts Paul McGuire, Elissa Lansdell, Lindsay Stone and Joel Stewart at the Beaches Boscobel Resort in beautiful Jamaica. The four-part special airs over four weeks and each one-hour episode features CMT’s hosts with a famous special guest, including: Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum and One More Girl. Fans can catch a premiere episode of CMT on the Beach on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT starting on Wednesday, June 2 at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
