Breakfast Television and CityNews Spring Food Drive In Support of Daily Bread Food Bank

Citytv springs into the spirit of giving by hosting its annual BT CityNews Spring Food Drive in support of Daily Break Food Bank. Starting at 6:00am on Wednesday, March 31, Citytv is accepting nutritious, non-perishable food items or monetary donations at the Loblaw grocery store located at 50 Musgrave Street (Gerrard and Victoria Park). Live coverage begins on Citytv, Breakfast Television at 6:00am and wraps up on CityNews at Six.

“Citytv viewers have a long history of opening their hearts and supporting such positive charitable initiatives on a local level,” says Maureen Rogers, VP/GM Citytv Toronto. “We are pleased to once again be part of this important fund raising drive.”

Meet Breakfast Television co-host Kevin Frankish and live-eye host, Jennifer Valentyne in the morning and CityNews Anchor Gord Martineau along with Meteorologist Michael Kuss during the CityNews at Six broadcast. Your generous donations will help fight hunger and everyone who makes a donation is eligible to win fantastic prizes including a Samsung front load washer and dryer courtesy of Future Shop! This year, start Spring off by helping those in need and donating to Daily Bread Food Bank. Most needed items include: peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, canned fruit and vegetables, white or brown rice, dried pasta and pasta sauce, canned fish or meat, baby food and formula. Monetary donations to Daily Bread Food Bank are also welcomed.
