BritBox reveals a gripping June slate with Call the Midwife Seasons 1-9 and premiere of psychological thriller Intruder
Award-winning anthology series Inside No. 9 makes its new season debut on the service with guest stars Sian Clifford, Gemma Whelan and Adrian Dunbar
BritBox, the subscription streaming service from BBC Studios and ITV, offering the biggest collection of streaming British television in North America, unveils a thrilling June lineup that will have viewers on the edge of their seats. Kicking off the month, BritBox Original dramedy The Syndicate: Double or Nothing makes its long-awaited debut on the service. The series, written by Kay Mellor, is returning after a five-year break with a new syndicate winning the lottery. Set between Yorkshire and Monaco, the series follows the intense drama faced by a group of kennel employees after winning the lottery. Another major highlight of the June lineup is the premiere of Intruder, a psychological thriller that follows a couple after one awful decision leads them down a dangerous path of corruption, lies and revenge.
Inspired by the bestselling memoirs by Jennifer Worth, Call the Midwife S1-9 makes its way to the service on June 25. The series follows Jenny Lee, a young nurse working as part of a team of midwives from Nonnatus House who visit the expectant mothers of Poplar, providing the poorest women with the best possible care.
Ending the month on a high note, the deliciously dark comedy anthology series Inside No. 9 S6 makes its North American exclusive premiere on June 22. Primetime Emmy-winning actor and director Derek Jacobi (Last Tango in Halifax) will be the first returning guest star on the series among an incredible cast of guest stars, including Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), Sian Clifford (Fleabag), Adrian Dunbar (Line of Duty), Lindsay Duncan (Black Mirror) and Paterson Joseph (Noughts + Crosses).
