CDN Viewer’s WHAT’S ON? for May 5 – 18, 2024

Finale season begins on the network front, as network series wind down their current season; The next two weeks see the season finale of 16 series as well as the series finale of Bob Hearts Abishola, So Help Me Todd & Young Sheldon.  Also, Call the Midwife concludes its current season.  On the reality front, Big Brother Canada, Farmer Wants A Wife & Next Level Chef conclude their current season.  On the game show front, Deal or No Deal Island & Celebrity Wheel of Fortune conclude their current season.

On the specialty and streaming front, the next 2 weeks see the premiere of 7 new series and the return of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, Blood of Zeus, Bridgerton, Harry Wild, Maestro in Blue, Outer Range, Pretty Little Liars & Reginald the Vampire.  New series premiering in the next two weeks include 2 new series from Apple TV+: Sci-fi drama Dark Matter & Biographical drama The Big Cigar, Britbox’s new crime drama After the Flood, Freevee’s new comedy Dinner with the Parents (airing on Showcase), 2 new series from Netflix: dark comedy thriller Bodkin & Korean dark comedy The 8 Show and Peacock’s new Historical drama The Tattooist of Auschwitz.  In addition, BMF, Franklin, Gentleman in Moscow, Mary & George, Palm Royale, Parish, Sister Boniface Mysteries, Sugar, The Girls on the Bus & X-Men ’97 conclude their current season.

On the reality front, 4 new series premiere: Netflix series The GOAT, HGTV renovation series House Hunters: All Stars & Zillow Gone Wild and Food Network competition series Next Baking Master: Paris.  In addition, Summer Baking Championship (Food Network) & Naked and Afraid XL (Discovery) return with an all-new season, while Wardens of the North (Discovery), 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing & Spring Baking Championship (Food Network) and The Curse of Oak Island (History) conclude their current season.

Other highlights include the premiere of new Paramount+ docuseries Pillowcase Murders, a 3-part series that delves into the mysterious and unexpected death of dozens of women at senior living communities across greater Dallas.
