The boys of summer are back on TSN2, as the network has live Major League Baseball coverage with ESPN’s SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET throughout the 2011 MLB regular season. TSN2’s coverage begins on Sunday, April 3 with the L.A. Dodgers hosting the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium.
In total, TSN2 has 25 games during the 2011 MLB regular season featuring some of baseball’s biggest rivalries (see broadcast schedule below).
Leading the new SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL broadcast team is veteran Canadian sports broadcaster and TSN contributor Dan Shulman, who handles play-by-play duties for all the Sunday night games on ESPN. Shulman is joined in the booth by returning SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL analyst Orel Hershiser and new analyst Bobby Valentine, who makes his broadcasting debut this season.
Shulman, who has covered MLB since he began his career at TSN in 1995, was appointed to the highly-coveted position in ESPN’s SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL broadcast booth in December. Shulman was also honoured by Sports Illustrated magazine that same month as the top national announcer in the U.S. for the first decade of this century.
Fans can also keep tabs on their favourite MLB teams on TSN.ca – as Canada’s industry-leading sports website has all the latest baseball news, scores and stats from around the league – and on TSN MOBILE’s apps for BlackBerry and iPhone.
