Take a glimpse into the world of Westeros! HBO Canada presents GAME OF THRONES® THE EXHIBITION, a free, five-day, timed-ticket event celebrating the craftsmanship that brings HBO’s epic series to life, running from May 14 – 18 at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto. Advance tickets are available today to The Movie Network subscribers, to TIFF Members beginning Thursday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET, and to the general public beginning Monday, April 28 at 10 a.m. ET. Specifically created to bring the enchanted world of the series and its characters directly to fans, the exhibition is presented by HBO and Bell Media in Toronto and will feature the new Oculus Rift virtual experience entitled “Ascend the Wall.”

Located in the expansive main-floor HSBC Gallery at TIFF Bell Lightbox, the exhibition will feature new installations, showcasing a collection of original artifacts from pivotal scenes from HBO’s Emmy®-and Golden Globe® Award-winning series GAME OF THRONES. The anchor to the exhibition this year is the new Oculus Rift interactive experience entitled “Ascend the Wall.” The immersive exhibit places fans inside a replica of the Night’s Watch elevator, while using the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, headphones, and 4D elements, the user is transported to the icy Northern border of the Seven Kingdoms, offering a rare glimpse into the world of Westeros.

Costumes, props, armour, and weapons – created by artisans whose extraordinary craftsmanship has lent authenticity to the show since its inception, the collection includes a magnificent costume display featuring cloaks, dresses, and armour; iconic artifacts such as model dragons and eggs; weaponry comprising of crossbows, daggers, spears, hatchets, and swords; crowns and headdresses; jewellery; books, letters, and maps; House banners; storyboards, and much more.
Iron Throne – fans will also have an opportunity to have their photo taken on the coveted Iron Throne.
