Kevin Wright, Senior Vice President, Programming, Astral Television Networks, is pleased to announce the appointment of Aubie Greenberg to the position of Director, Original Programming, Movie Services, effective May 10, 2010.
In this position, Greenberg will be responsible for developing the strategic direction and management of the original programming slate, including project selection, development and production for The Movie Network and HBO Canada. Current projects in development and production include the upcoming The Pillars of the Earth, Call Me Fitz, Good Dog and the third season of Durham County.
“Through his extensive experience as a programmer, Aubie has come to know our brands inside and out and has a keen sense of what works for our networks and resonates with subscribers,” said Kevin Wright, Senior Vice President, Programming, Astral Television Networks. “We are very excited to welcome Aubie to this new role, where his vision and multi-platform expertise will be fully leveraged.”
Greenberg has more than 20 years of experience working for Astral Television, most recently as Director of Programming, where he was responsible for programming uniquely branded multiplexes, HD channels and the recently launched HBO Canada.
Departing is acting Director, Diane Boehme, who filled a maternity-leave contract for Director Michelle Marion, who has since resigned.
Current Manager of Original Programming Kathleen Meek will take on an expanded role in the Movie Services department, where she will work on both original movies and series for the networks as well as Canadian theatrical films.
