Food Network Canada is giving everyday North Americans the chance of a lifetime in its brand new Canadian original series produced by Cineflix, Giving You The BusinessIn every episode, four top employees of a North American franchise are unknowingly handpicked by the CEO for their loyalty and hard work and put to the test by handling the worst shift of their lives.  With hidden cameras capturing their every move, the strongest candidate will walk away an owner of a franchise worth up to $500,000.  Giving You The Business premieres Monday April 29th at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Food Network Canada and is hosted by former NBA player and franchise owner Walter Bond.

In the premiere episode, four Famous Famiglia employees from across the United States are secretly put to the test in a series of outrageous challenges designed to test their management skills, honesty and ability to handle difficult situations that are typical in day-to-day management. Hidden cameras record everything they do at the company’s busiest Manhattan pizzeria, and the company’s CEO judges their actions and decision-making to select one winner to be awarded their own franchise.  Canadian franchises featured in upcoming episodes includeTopper’s PizzaWok BoxFreshii, and LA Prep.  United States based franchises include SaladworksJersey MikesMuscle Maker Grill, and 16 Handles.

Host Walter Bond uses what he learned on the basketball court and franchise world in his many speaking engagements around the United States, discussing how to excel in business with owners and employees.  A former NBA athlete, he rose from being a reserve player coming off the bench to becoming the first rookie-free agent to start for the Dallas Mavericks.  Today he is recognized as one of the world’s preeminent experts on personal accountability.
