Last year’s #1 new series THE FOLLOWING returns for another intense, killer season on CTV, with a special preview airing Sunday, Jan. 19 on CTV, directly following the NFC Championship game. The series moves to its regular timeslot of Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Jan. 27 on CTV and CTV GO.
Season 1 reached a deadly conclusion with a suspenseful stand-off between Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and the show’s puppet master, Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), going up in flames. The season came to a close with Hardy and Claire Matthews (Natalie Zea) stabbed by Hardy’s former lover, Molly, a Carroll follower.
Season 2 catches up with Hardy one year later at the anniversary of Joe Carroll’s death and in the wake of a horrific new murder spree, which furthers Hardy’s suspicion that Carroll’s reign of terror is far from over. Joining the cast this season are Connie Nielsen (LAW & ORDER: SVU), Jessica Stroup (90210), Sam Underwood (DEXTER), and Tiffany Boone (Beautiful Creatures):
- Connie Nielsen stars as ‘Lily Gray,’ a Soho art dealer, who finds herself in trouble. When Ryan Hardy comes to her aid, a connection begins to form which causes even more problems for her.
- Sam Underwood plays the role of ‘Luke,’ a very complicated and dangerous young man who may or may not be a follower of the late Joe Carroll.
- Tiffany Boone stars as ‘Mandy Lang,’ an impressionable young girl who finds herself to be the newest member of Joe Carroll’s cult, whether she likes it or not.
- Jessica Stroup stars as ‘Max,’ Ryan Hardy’s niece. And in Hardy tradition, Max is an NYPD cop, currently working in the Intel Division. Max reconnects with Ryan and she becomes a valuable ally.
How will these new characters play out in the web of Joe Carroll’s cult? And will Carroll finally finish “The Next Chapter” of his book?
