Noah Munck (iCarly’s Gibby) and The Sopranos’ Steve Schirripa star in the original kids TV movie Nicky Deuce, produced by Nickelodeon, R&R Productions and MarVista Entertainment, premiering on Monday, May 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on YTV. Based on the same-titled popular children’s book by Schirripa and Charles Fleming, the movie also features comedic cameos from Sopranosstars James Gandolfini, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Curatola and Tony Sirico, along with a guest appearance by Rita Moreno. The 90-minute movie special was filmed in Montreal last summer.

Munck stars in Nicky Deuce as Nicholas Borelli II, a nerdy, over-protected teen who transforms into the title character. Nicholas gets caught in the adventure of a lifetime when his plans to attend math camp go awry and he is sent to spend the summer with a family he never he had in Brooklyn, NY –- his Uncle Frankie (Schirripa) and his Italian grandmother Tutti (Moreno). A fish out of water at first, Nicholas leans on local kids to help him fit in and winds up mistakenly earning a reputation as a tough guy. When confronted with some questionable dealings, Nicky uncovers family secrets and learns that the mean streets of Brooklyn aren’t always what they seem. Cristine Prosperi (Totally Amp’d, Degrassi: The Next Generation) and Jesse Camacho (Less Than Kind) also star.
In addition to his co-starring role in the film, Schirripa served as executive producer alongside R&R’s Ronald Gilbert and MarVista’s Fernando Szew (Beyond the Break, Radio Rebel) and Robyn Snyder (A Golden Christmas, 16 Wishes). Jon Rosenbaum (Big Time Rush, Supah Ninjas) directed from a script by Andy Callahan (Ties That Bind), and Art Brown and Douglas Sloan (The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, DreamWorks’ Dragons: Riders of Berk). R&R’s Ric Nish produced the movie.
Also, today, Simon & Schuster is releasing Schirripa’s new book Big Daddy’s Rules.
