The Sopranos’ Steve Schirripa and iCarly’s Noah Munck Star in Nicky Deuce on May 27 on YTV

Noah Munck (iCarly’s Gibby) and The Sopranos’ Steve Schirripa star in the original kids TV movie Nicky Deuce, produced by Nickelodeon, R&R Productions and MarVista Entertainment, premiering on Monday, May 27, at 8 p.mET/PT on YTV. Based on the same-titled popular children’s book by Schirripa and Charles Fleming, the movie also features comedic cameos from Sopranosstars James Gandolfini, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Curatola and Tony Sirico, along with a guest appearance by Rita Moreno. The 90-minute movie special was filmed in Montreal last summer.

Munck stars in Nicky Deuce as Nicholas Borelli II, a nerdy, over-protected teen who transforms into the title character. Nicholas gets caught in the adventure of a lifetime when his plans to attend math camp go awry and he is sent to spend the summer with a family he never he had in Brooklyn, NY –- his Uncle Frankie (Schirripa) and his Italian grandmother Tutti (Moreno). A fish out of water at first, Nicholas leans on local kids to help him fit in and winds up mistakenly earning a reputation as a tough guy. When confronted with some questionable dealings, Nicky uncovers family secrets and learns that the mean streets of Brooklyn aren’t always what they seem. Cristine Prosperi (Totally Amp’d, Degrassi: The Next Generation) and Jesse Camacho (Less Than Kind) also star.

In addition to his co-starring role in the film, Schirripa served as executive producer alongside R&R’s Ronald Gilbert and MarVista’s Fernando Szew (Beyond the Break, Radio Rebel) and Robyn Snyder (A Golden Christmas, 16 Wishes). Jon Rosenbaum (Big Time RushSupah Ninjas) directed from a script by Andy Callahan (Ties That Bind), and Art Brown and Douglas Sloan (The Boy Who Cried WerewolfDreamWorks’ Dragons: Riders of Berk). R&R’s Ric Nish produced the movie.
