Sportsnet Delivers Highest Ottawa Senators Audience in Network History

Sportsnet garnered its largest audience ever for an Ottawa Senators regional broadcast last night with an average of 441,000* viewers tuning in to the Pittsburgh Penguins @ Ottawa Senators game on Sportsnet East at 5 p.m. ET. 

Overall, 1.6 million Canadians watched some part of the thrilling Eastern Conference showdown on Sportsnet East, with audience levels peaking at 772,000 viewers as Sidney Crosby prepared for his shot on Craig Anderson during the shootout.

The 441,000 average audience marks a 32% increase over the previous Ottawa Senators highest audience of 335,000 viewers recorded during a game between the Sens and Toronto Maple Leafs on January 17, 2012. The record audience is also 72% above the current season Senators audience average of 257,000.
