MUST-WATCH TITLES FOR DECEMBER
DECEMBER 1 – HBO Max’s GOSSIP GIRL *Season 2 Premiere*
- Season 2 of the HBO Max Original GOSSIP GIRL debuts Thursday, Dec. 1. It’s the second semester of Junior year, and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned in her effort to control the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. She’s learned a thing or two from her first go-round, namely, what her audience wants, they shall get. It’s time for her to turn the heat up on what’s been simmering. Old enemies, new allies, constantly shifting sands…this semester, there can only be one queen, and by the end of the school year, everyone will know where the bodies are buried, and just who was holding the shovel. GOSSIP GIRL premieres with two back-to-back episodes and follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes streaming Thursdays.
DECEMBER 1 – HBO’s BRANSON *Docuseries Premiere*
- 16 days before Richard Branson is scheduled to make a potentially historic flight as the first passenger to reach space in his own spacecraft in July 2021, the billionaire entrepreneur sits down for a conversation with acclaimed filmmaker Chris Smith, in light of the risk that lies ahead. Smith ultimately takes audiences on an expansive and intimate 70-year journey, from Branson’s upbringing as the son of a spirited, tough-love mother in Britain, to his pursuits of extreme, personal daredevilry that serve both to grow his businesses’ brands, and feed his insatiable, lifelong thirst for high-stakes adventure. With added insight from family members, business associates, and journalists, and illustrated by decades of archival and home video footage, BRANSON reveals the ups and downs of a man driven by risk taking in both his business and personal life, reflecting on the costs and rewards of his lifelong, relentless optimism and boundary-pushing. The four-part docuseries debuts Thursday, Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. ET with subsequent episodes dropping Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET.
DECEMBER 2 – Crave Original COCAINE, PRISON & LIKES: ISABELLE’S TRUE STORY *Docuseries Premiere*
- This three-part Crave Original docuseries tells the astonishing story of Isabelle Lagacé and Mélina Roberge, who, while on a world cruise in 2016, were implicated in one of Australia’s largest-ever cocaine seizures. Now, back in Canada after spending several years behind bars in Australia, Isabelle Lagacé tells her story, detailing how she became a mule for an international drug trafficking network. All three episodes of the docuseries drop on Friday, 2 on Crave, and are available to audiences in English and in French.
DECEMBER 4 – SHOWTIME’s GEORGE & TAMMY *Limited Series Premiere*
- Premiering Sunday, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. ET, GEORGE & TAMMY, starring Oscar®-winner Jessica Chastain and Oscar-nominee Michael Shannon, chronicles the country music power couple, Tammy Wynette and George Jones, whose complicated-but-enduring relationship inspired some of the most iconic music of all time. Remembered as the “First Lady of Country Music,” Wynette’s most successful song “Stand by Your Man” remains one of the most iconic and best-selling country singles by a female artist. George Jones’ song “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” is still widely called the greatest country song of all time. With more than 30, number-one country songs between them, including duets “We’re Gonna Hold On,” “Golden Ring” and “Near You,” George and Tammy’s legacy, both musically and romantically, remains one of the greatest love stories ever told. Following its debut Sunday, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. ET, this six-part series follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes streaming Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.
DECEMBER 5 – HBO’s HIS DARK MATERIALS *Season 3 Premiere*
- The HBO Original series HIS DARK MATERIALS follows young orphan Lyra (Dafne Keen) on an incredible adventure into a parallel world where a human’s soul exists outside one’s body, in the form of a talking animal. In the eight-episode, third and final season, Lyra, the prophesied child, and Will (Amir Wilson), the bearer of The Subtle Knife, must journey to a dark place from which no one has ever returned. As her father’s great war against the Authority edges closer, they will learn that saving the worlds comes at a terrible price. Based on “The Amber Spyglass,” the final novel in Philip Pullman’s award-winning trilogy, Season 3 debuts Monday, Dec. 5 at 9 p.m. ET with two back-to-back episodes, and follows a weekly release schedule, with two, new episodes dropping weekly on Mondays, leading up to the season finale on Dec. 26.
DECEMBER 9 – HBO’s RANDOM ACTS OF FLYNESS *Season Premiere*
- Artist, musician and filmmaker Terence Nance returns with a long-awaited second season of the acclaimed series RANDOM ACTS OF FLYNESS, which explores the metaphysics of Black life through avant-garde storytelling. Season two follows Terence and Najja (Alicia Pilgrim), a couple working towards healing generational wounds and reintroducing themselves to the ways of their ancestors. Each of the season’s six episodes explores a different dimension, while presenting a rich tapestry of audio-visuals to illustrate the spiritual practice of Black liberation. RANDOM ACTS OF FLYNESS Season 2 premieres Friday, Dec. 9 at 9 p.m. ET with two back-to-back episodes, and follows a weekly release schedule, with two new episodes dropping weekly on Fridays.
DECEMBER 9 – MARRY ME *Movie Premiere*
- Music superstar Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez) is half of the sexiest celebrity power couple on earth with hot new music supernova Bastian (Maluma, making his feature-film debut). As Kat and Bastian’s inescapable hit single, “Marry Me,” climbs the charts, they are about to be wed before an audience of their fans in a ceremony that’s set to be streamed across multiple platforms. Divorced high-school math teacher Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson) has been dragged to the concert by his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman) and his best friend (Sarah Silverman). When Kat learns, seconds before the ceremony, that Bastian has been unfaithful, her life turns left as she has a meltdown on stage. As her world falls away, she locks eyes with a stranger, a face in the crowd, in a moment of inspired insanity, Kat decides to marry Charlie.
DECEMBER 25 – Crave Original LETTERKENNY *Season 11 Premiere*
- The residents of Letterkenny belong to one of three groups: the Hicks, the Skids, and the Hockey Players, who are constantly feuding over seemingly trivial matters that often end with someone getting their ass kicked. In Season 11 of Crave original comedy series LETTERKENNY, streaming Sunday, Dec. 25, the small town contends with the best chip flavours, lost dogs, an influencer invasion, Skid business, a mystery at the Church Bake Sale, unwanted guests at beer league, and the Degens stirring up trouble. And that’s just for starters.
DECEMBER 30 – KINGDOM OF DREAMS *Docuseries Premiere*

DECEMBER 2 – The Hunger Games Franchise
- Based on the book series of the same name by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games franchise comes to STARZ. Starring Oscar®–winner Jennifer Lawrence, the blockbuster adaptation centres on a heroic young woman, Katiniss Everdeen, who leads her downtrodden people in a revolution against the status quo. All four films in the franchise – The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 – lands Friday, Dec. 2.
DECEMBER 6 – HBO’s UNVEILED: SURVIVING LA LUZ DEL MUNDO *Docuseries Premiere*
- The HBO Original three-part documentary series UNVEILED: SURVIVING LA LUZ DEL MUNDO, explores the horrifying, yet relatively unknown story of the Christian church La Luz del Mundo (LLDM) and the sexual abuse that scores of members, many of them minors, say they have suffered at the hands of its successive leaders, known as the “Apostles.” Told from the point of view of the survivors who met on Reddit to share their stories of abuse, the series chronicles the history of one of the most powerful religious groups not only in Mexico where it was founded, but also in the United States, while giving voice to the men and women who were brave enough to stand up and call out the heinous crimes. All three episodes drop Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. ET.
DECEMBER 8 – HBO Max’s DOOM PATROL *Season 4 Premiere*
- The HBO Max Original series DOOM PATROL reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of superheroes: “Robotman” aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), “Negative Man” aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), “Elasti-Woman” aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby), “Crazy Jane” (Diane Guerrero), “Cyborg” aka Victor Stone (Joivan Wade), joined by former super villain “Madame Rouge” aka Laura de Mille (Michelle Gomez). Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Season 4 of DOOM PATROL premieres with two, back-to-back episodes on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 9 p.m. ET, and opens with the team unexpectedly traveling to the future to find an unwelcome surprise. Faced with their imminent demise, the Doom Patrol must decide once and for all which is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world? The series follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping weekly on Thusdays, leading up to the mid-season finale on Jan. 5. An additional six new episodes from Season 4 will be released in 2023.
DECEMBER 11 – THE RISING *Series Premiere*
- Supernatural crime series, THE RISING, is an adaptation of the Belgian thriller Hotel Beau Séjour. Starring Cara Ruggard as Neve Kelly, the story follows a recently deceased young woman who exists in a kind of purgatory, who finds out her cause of death was murder and must find out who killed her. The first three episodes of the eight-part mystery series drop on Sunday, Dec. 11 on STARZ, with subsequent new episodes dropping weekly on Sundays.
DECEMBER 30 – Rocky Franchise, 40 Years Of Rocky: The Birth Of A Classic
- American boxing film franchise Rocky, created by Sylvester Stallone, comes to Crave 30. The first Rocky film (1976) was the highest-grossing film of the year and recieved three Oscars. This cultural phenomenon centreson the boxing career of Rocky Balboa and continues with sequels Rocky II (1979), Rocky III (1982), Rocky IV (1985), Rocky V (1990), and Rocky Balboa (2006). All six Rocky films along with a Rocky-centric documentary 40 YEARS OF ROCKY: THE BIRTH OF A CLASSIC narrated by Sylvester Stallone, drop on Crave Friday, Dec. 30.
DECEMBER 31 – HBO Max’s LIZZO: LIVE IN CONCERT *Special*
- Crave celebrates the new year with Emmy® and three-time GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, rapper, floutist, and superstar Lizzo; along with her band The Lizzbians and The Little Bigs, The Big Grrrls, and special guests Cardi B, SZA, and Missy Elliott for a spectacular show filled with lots of love, positivity and incredible music. LIZZO: LIVE IN CONCERT was filmed during Lizzo’s The Special Tour earlier this month at the iconic Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA. Dropping 31 at 8 p.m. ET, LIZZO: LIVE IN CONCERT is the culmination of her deeply personal documentary LOVE, LIZZO, streaming now on Crave.
