This September, The Comedy Network Hits the Books With All New Season and Series Premieres

Highlights inclulde:  

  • Head back to school with COMMUNITY, airing Monday to Thursday at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4.
  • Comedy spends some times with the boys in new series MEN AT WORK, premiering Monday, Sept. 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the premiere of family comedy SULLIVAN & SON at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
  • Charlie Sheen is back to his old antics on the series premiere of ANGER MANAGEMENTSept. 14 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Spend Saturday catching up with everyone’s favourite foursome during a THE BIG BANG THEORY marathon featuring the best of Leonard (Johnny Galecki).

Sunday, Sept. 2
6 a.m. – 6 a.m. – THE BIG BANG WEEKEND MARATHON!
The marathon of big proportions continues with THE BIG BANG THEORY best of Penny (Kaley Cuoco) episodes.

Monday, Sept. 3
6 a.m. – 6 a.m. – THE BIG BANG WEEKEND MARATHON!
Laugh off a moody Monday with a whole day of THE BIG BANG THEORY, featuring the best of Sheldon (Jim Parsons).

Tuesday, Sept. 4
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Pilot” *Series Premiere*
The not-so-hallowed halls of Greendale Community College represent many things to many people. For fast-talking lawyer Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, E!’s THE SOUP), they are his only chance to keep his job. After discovering that his undergraduate degree was not actually from New York’s Columbia University, Jeff’s law license was suspended. Ordered to rectify the situation by graduating from an accredited college, Jeff enrols at Greendale where he finds a student body made up of high school losers, newly divorced housewives, and seniors looking to keep their minds active.

Wednesday, Sept. 5
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Spanish 101”
Jeff tries to become Britta’s (Gillian Jacobs, Let Go) Spanish partner, but his scheming backfires. Meanwhile, Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown, The Ugly Truth) and Annie (Alison Brie, MAD MEN) pitch in with Britta’s social-justice case.

Thursday, Sept. 6
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Introduction to Film”
Jeff signs up for a class that he thinks will earn him an easy A, but he soon discovers he misjudged the class and its quirky instructor (John Michael Higgins, HAPPILY DIVORCED). Elsewhere, Britta encourages Abed (Danny Pudi, GREEK) to study film.

Monday, Sept. 10
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Social Psychology”
Gossiping about Britta’s new boyfriend brings Jeff and Shirley together, but when Jeff tries to do right by Britta, he struggles to quit gossiping. Elsewhere, Annie asks Troy (Donald Glover, 30 ROCK) and Abed to be guinea pigs for her psychology research team.

10 p.m. – MEN AT WORK – Episode 1 *Series Premiere*
MEN AT WORK follows the misadventures of four buddies who work together at a magazine. Milo (Danny Masterson, WHITE COLLAR) was recently dumped and his friends are determined to help him get back in the game; Gibbs (James Lesure, MR. SUNSHINE) is a photographer and successful ladies man; Tyler (Michael Cassidy, PRIVILEGED) is a features writer who brings a dose of style and sophistication to the group; and Neal (Adam Busch, COUNT JEFF) is a somewhat nebbish reporter and the only one in the group with a steady girlfriend. Together, the four serve as each other’s wingmen as they navigate work, friendship and women.

10:30 p.m. – SULLIVAN & SON – Episode 1: “Last, Best, and Final” *Series Premiere*
Steve Sullivan (Steve Byrne, THE MIDDLE) is a successful corporate attorney from New York who brings his girlfriend home for his father’s 60th birthday, only to learn that his Irish-American father, Jack Sullivan (Dan Lauria, ED), and his Korean mother, Ok Cha (Jodi Long, ELI STONE), are preparing to sell the multi-generational family business – a bar known as Sullivan & Son. After learning the news, it doesn’t take Steve long to realize that where he really belongs is in his old neighbourhood, behind the bar.

Tuesday, Sept. 11
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Advanced Criminal Law”
Señor Chang (Ken Jeong, The Hangover) tries to weed out a cheater by threatening to flunk the whole Spanish class. After someone confesses, Jeff comes to the aid of the accused. Elsewhere, Annie asks Pierce (Chevy Chase, Hot Tub Time Machine) to compose a song for the school.

10:30 p.m. – THE BURN

Wednesday, Sept. 12
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Football, Feminism and You”
Jeff has ulterior motives when he pushes Troy to join the school’s football team, but Annie interferes with Jeff’s plan. Elsewhere, Britta receives a lesson from Shirley on the rules of girl talk.

Thursday, Sept. 13
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Introduction to Statistics”
Jeff plans to woo his statistics professor, but his pursuit could interfere with Annie’s ‘day of the dead’ party, leaving him torn between landing a date and keeping a promise to Annie. Meanwhile, Pierce confronts the aging process.

Friday, Sept. 14
9:30 p.m. – ANGER MANAGEMENT – “Charlie Goes Back to Therapy” *Series Premiere*
Charlie (Charlie Sheen, TWO AND A HALF MEN), a therapist specializing in anger issues and who battles them himself, returns to therapy after an unpleasant encounter with his ex-wife’s new boyfriend.

Saturday, Sept. 15
9 p.m. – SATURDAY NIGHT STAND UP: AMY SCHUMER: MOSTLY SEX STUFF
Before a live audience at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco, Schumer airs every hilarious, messed up detail of her dating and sex life, from encounters with unexpected body parts to hate-filled personal grooming appointments. In her matter-of-fact raunchy style, at odds with her self-described “Cabbage Patch Kid” appearance, Schumer tells stories of a boyfriend who makes dirty requests over dinner, the way she outsmarts her birth control, and a shocking ending to a seemingly innocent cab ride.

Monday, Sept. 17
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Home Economics”
The gang discovers that Jeff doesn’t have a place to live and are quick to offer their help. Meanwhile, Annie comes up with a perfect date for Troy, and Pierce tests his musical chops when he joins Vaughn’s (Eric Christian Olsen, NCIS: LOS ANGELES) band.

10 p.m. – MEN AT WORK – Episode 2: “Milo Full of Grace”
Neal employs cost-cutting measures at work to impress his boss, and Milo ends up behind bars while investigating drug trafficking for an article.

10:30 p.m. – SULLIVAN & SON – Episode 2: “The Bribe”
Now owner of the bar, Steve realizes he must set boundaries with his parents and before long, he tangles with a health inspector.

Tuesday, Sept. 18
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Debate 109”
Jeff joins the debate team after Annie’s partner drops out. Though Jeff assumes he’ll excel, he encounters unexpected competition from an obnoxious member of the other team. Elsewhere, Shirley is spooked by Abed’s films, which seem to foresee the future, and Pierce tries to help Britta quit smoking.

10:30 p.m. – THE BURN – *Season Finale*

Wednesday, Sept. 19
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Environmental Science”
Jeff befriends Señor Chang at the gang’s urging in hopes of reducing the class’s homework load. When the pair end up hitting it off, Jeff begins receiving special perks from his new friend. Meanwhile, Troy and Abed lose track of their biology-lab subject.

Thursday, Sept. 20
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “The Politics of Human Sexuality”
Jeff tries to find a date for a night out with Pierce and his new girlfriend (Sharon Lawrence, DROP DEAD DIVA). Meanwhile, Annie needs a crash course in human anatomy before she presents at a health fair.

Friday, Sept. 21
9:30 p.m. – ANGER MANAGEMENT – “Charlie and the Slumpbuster”
A forgettable woman from Charlie’s past shows up as a new patient in his group therapy.

Saturday, Sept. 22
9 p.m. – SATURDAY NIGHT STAND UP: TODD BARRY: SUPER CRAZY
In his first hour-long special, Todd Barry reflects on his history as a germaphobe, gives important travel tips, and explains what you’re really paying for when you order spaghetti at a restaurant.

Monday, Sept. 24
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Comparative Religion”
A bully (Anthony Michael Hall, WAREHOUSE 13) challenges Jeff, who’s also worried about failing Spanish. Elsewhere, Shirley plans a Christmas party for the gang without realizing that not all of them celebrate the holiday.

10 p.m. – MEN AT WORK – Episode 3: “Devil’s Threesome”
Gibbs and Milo meet a woman at a bar and delve into a ménage à trois with her, making their friendship awkward. Meanwhile, Neal grows jealous of Amy and Tyler’s time together.

10:30 p.m. – SULLIVAN & SON – Episode 3: “The Bar Birthday”
The gang celebrates the 50th anniversary of the bar, where many memories are shared, but not all of them are fond.

Tuesday, Sept. 25
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Investigative Journalism”
The study group reconvenes following winter break, and a new student, Buddy (Jack Black, Year One), inserts himself into the group. Elsewhere, Jeff becomes the editor of the Greendale Gazette Journal.

10 p.m. – TOSH.0 – *Season 4C Premiere*
Comedian Daniel Tosh goes wild with humorous commentary and quick wit during the Season 4C premiere.

10:30 p.m. – WORKAHOLICS – Episode 1: “The Business Trip” *Season 3 Premiere*
In the Season 3 premiere, the guys’ first LSD experience coincides with a business trip.

Wednesday, Sept. 26
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Interpretive Dance”
Jeff tries to keep his new relationship a secret, but the study group doesn’t make it easy for him. Elsewhere, Troy and Britta come clean with their own secrets.

10 p.m. – SOUTH PARK – *Season 16B Premiere*
The Season 16B premiere brings up-to-the-minute news and pop culture icons to the town of South Park, for social commentary and good old-fashioned ridicule.

10:30 p.m. – KEY & PEELE – *Season 2 Premiere*
Best known for their improv skills and their ability to conjure up original characters and perform celebrity impressions, comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele return for a second season of KEY & PEELE, providing a satirical take on race, pop culture and politics.

Thursday, Sept. 27
9:30 p.m. – COMMUNITY – “Romantic Expression”
Jeff and Britta take an interest in Annie’s love life when they discover she’s interested in Vaughn. Elsewhere, Pierce struggles to fit in during Troy and Abed’s movie night.

Friday, Sept. 28
9:30 p.m. – ANGER MANAGEMENT – “Charlie Tries Sleep Deprivation”
Charlie’s plan backfires when he attempts to remedy his group with sleep-deprivation therapy.

Saturday, Sept. 29
9 p.m. – SATURDAY NIGHT STAND UP: MATT BRAUNGER: SHOVEL FIGHTER
Matt Braunger enthusiastically brings awkward to a whole new level of funny with his descriptive and inventive wit. From the Gramercy Theatre in New York, he shares his genius business ideas – from a strip club that women will really want to visit, to a frighteningly realistic frozen dinner. With his expressive style, and perhaps a little song, Braunger also imparts key life advice.
