Anaïd Productions is proud to announce Majeedah Belding, the Grand Prize Winner of the X-WEIGHTED.COM National Challenge. In recognition of her outstanding effort, Majeedah was awarded a trip to Halifax, NS for some quality time with X-Weighted self-esteem expert Fred Connors. Majeedah says that X-Weighted has motivated her a great deal over the years and to have this experience to celebrate her weight-loss journey feels right.

Over the course of the six month online Challenge, Majeedah lost 36 pounds to get down to a healthy BMI, but she has actually lost a total of 120 pounds over the past two years. When she first received word that she would be named this year’s Grand Prize Winner she was shocked and delighted. “For me, this…was a celebration of years worth of work and not just a few months,” she says.

Majeedah was pampered with a shopping spree, a complete makeover experience and a professional photo shoot. Majeedah says that everything about her weekend in Halifax was unbelievable. “I was treated like a princess. As a mother of two, whose life revolves around her husband and kids it was definitely different to have everything revolve around me,” she says. “Our goal with the X-Weighted franchise has always been to affect positive change in the lives of our audience,” says Margaret Mardirossian, President of Anaid Productions. “Majeedah’s success is great validation — we are in fact making a difference.”

A free, content-rich online community, X-WEIGHTED.COM was designed to give Canadians the support they need to lose weight now and remain active for the rest of their lives. The site features a multitude of fitness, nutritional and motivational tools to help participants achieve a healthy weight and lifestyle.

X-WEIGHTED.COM is an online spin-off of the popular TV series, X-Weighted and is produced by Anaïd Productions with the participation of the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund and the Canada Media Fund, and in association with Shaw Media (formerly Canwest Broadcasting).
