‘Tis the Season to be Watching… CTV Announces 2024 Holiday Programming Featuring Lineup of New Specials, Movies, and Holiday-Themed Episodes for the Whole Family

CTV is getting festive, with a 2024 holiday programming lineup full of merry programming. CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app have everything on viewers’ wish lists this holiday season, with themed episodes of hit CTV series, movies, seasonal classics, and festive new specials. 

New Holiday Specials

  • Filmed in Nashville in front of a live audience, CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS (Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV2, CTV.ca, and the CTV app) showcases one-of-a-kind musical performances of Christmas classics from Country Music’s biggest stars. Returning co-hosts Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood take the stage and perform “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” and more. Alongside the night’s hosts, the lineup includes for KING + COUNTRY with Carin León (“O Come, O Come Emmanuel”), Cody Johnson (“White Christmas“) and (“I’ll Be Home For Christmas”), Ashley McBryde and Brittney Spencer (“Man With The Bag”), Jon Pardi (“400 Horsepower Sleigh”), and CeCe Winans (“Joy To The World”).
  • Jimmy Fallon searches for holiday spirit in JIMMY FALLON’S HOLIDAY SEASONING SPECTACULAR (Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV2), as he explores a surreal and magical apartment building in New York where behind every door a different celebrity joins him for a comedic holiday musical performance. The all-new, one-hour special features a star-studded lineup of guests including Cara Delevingne, Dolly Parton, J.B. Smoove, Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, LL Cool J, Meghan Trainor, The Roots, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and more.
  • Inspired by the award-winning 1997 film, THE REAL FULL MONTY (Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV) is an all-new, two-hour special in which a daring group of male celebrities volunteer to bare all this holiday season to raise awareness for prostate, testicular, and colorectal cancer testing and research. Actor, comedian, and producer Anthony Anderson rallies a cast of male celebrities including Taye Diggs, NFL’s Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli, and James Van Der Beek as they train and rehearse for the most revealing performance of their careers, culminating with a big strip-tease dance, choreographed by Emmy® Award-winner Mandy Moore (choreographer for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour), where they bare all in front of a live audience.
  • The third annual LEGO MASTERS: CELEBRITY HOLIDAY BRICKTACULAR (Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV2) returns with celebrity guests Eric McCormack, Sophia Bush, Holly Robinson Peete, and Lil Rel Howery, who are paired with fan-favourite former contestants, all competing for a charity of their choice. Hosted by Will Arnett, with Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard as judges for the two-night special, the group undergoes a series of holiday-themed challenges before one team is crowned champion.
  • Hosted by renowned actor and singer Tom Jackson (SULLIVAN’S CROSSING),THE HURON CAROLE (Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV2) features an impressive lineup of artists, including a six-piece band and guest performers such as Measha Brueggergosman-Lee, Shannon Gaye, Natalie MacMaster, Beverley Mahood, Loreena McKennitt, Andrea Menard (SULLIVAN’S CROSSING), and PIQSIQ, offering a mix of seasonal tunes and Canadian tales. Its core mission is to raise funds for the Canadian Red Cross Emergency Management. Viewers can sing alongside the Halifax Camerata Singers. Plus, SULLIVAN’S CROSSING cast members Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, and Scott Patterson direct viewers on how to donate.

New Holiday-Themed Episodes

CTV’s schedule also includes holiday-themed episodes of CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE (Dec. 5); HAPPY’S PLACE (Dec. 6); ACTING GOOD (Dec. 16 on CTV Comedy Channel); ST. DENIS MEDICAL (Dec. 17); NIGHT COURT (Dec. 17); and more, as well as segments on CTV YOUR MORNING. THE GOOD STUFF WITH MARY BERG returns with its annual ‘A Very Mary Giveaway’ series; THE SOCIAL gifts viewers two new specials with THE SOCIAL: YEAR IN REVIEW (Dec. 19) and THE SOCIAL: CHEAP AND CHEERFUL (Dec. 20). ETALK caps off 2024 by celebrating two music legends with THE TAYLOR SWIFT PHENOMENON (Dec. 23) and THE BEYONCÉ PHENOMENON (Dec. 30). Plus, settle in for a fun and insightful recap of the year’s biggest entertainment headlines and most viral moments in the two-part special ETALK YEAR IN REVIEW: 2024 (Dec. 31 and Jan. 1).

NFL on Christmas Day

The NFL also delivers a series of presents on Christmas Day, including the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Pittsburgh Steelers (1 p.m. ET on TSN, CTV, TSN.ca, CTV.ca, and the TSN and CTV apps), followed by the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Houston Texans (4:30 p.m. ET on TSN, CTV, TSN.ca, CTV.ca, and the TSN and CTV apps). Beyoncé touches down in her hometown of Houston to grace the field with a special performance at halftime of the Ravens-Texans matchup, putting a bow atop the day’s NFL action.
