APTN NATIONAL NEWS Special: Town Hall on Racism

APTN National News will broadcast a town hall discussion on racism live on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 7:00 PM ET. Cheryl McKenzie, host of APTN InFocus and APTN Investigates, will lead and moderate the forum. The LIVE broadcast will be in front of a studio audience. Viewers at home will be able to participate by phone, online at www.aptn.ca/livenews, Facebook and Twitter. Recent headlines will provide the backdrop for these discussions. An example is the recent drowning of a homeless man in Regina that went unattended because people were afraid to call for help or the perceived effect that hundreds of displaced families, due to recent flooding, have on downtown businesses in Winnipeg. The town hall discussion is an open forum for community members to speak openly and give their opinions about these events and the topic.
