Food Network Canada is delighted to announce the Food Network Canada Mobile Recipe App on the App Store. With thousands of celebrity chef-inspired meal ideas and recipes now available at the tap of a finger, consumers are shopping smarter and expanding their repertoire of healthy, delicious, and time-saving meals. The app, available for iPhone and iPod touch, allows users to connect to their existing foodnetwork.ca membership account where they can access their previously saved favourite recipes to build customized grocery lists, connect with their favourite hosts and shows, and have access to a wealth of meal ideas on the go.

“We are thrilled about the new Food Network Canada App and look forward to the enjoyment it will bring our viewers and fans,” said Paul Burns, Vice President of Digital Media at Canwest Broadcasting. “The most noticeable improvement is enabling Foodnetwork.ca account members to simultaneously sync their mobile and online accounts and share recipes with others. Experiencing ‘food’, at its core, is a very social thing – this app is really a platform to enable a more social approach to food.”

The Food Network Canada Mobile Recipe App allows users to:
· Search Food Network’s extensive library of celebrity inspired meal ideas and recipes.
· Create and access grocery lists while on the go.
· Rate and comment on their favourite recipes.
· Share recipes with their friends.
· View video tutorials, tips, and cooking lessons from top Food Network Canada personalities

In addition, the app makes meal choices easier than ever with a “Recipes of the Week” section that brings the latest and greatest Food Network recipe straight to a user’s iPhone or iPod touch without any searching at all.

The Food Network Canada Mobile Recipe App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
