Uncommon Courage: Breakout at Chosin
Sunday September 19 @ 8 PM

Lt. Chew-Een Lee, a first-generation U.S. citizen, was a Korean War hero who helped save 8,000 marines from capture during the Korean War, but he’ll be remembered for far more than his bravery. He battled communism, injury, hypothermia, racism and, at one point, the Chinese Red Army – singlehandedly. Indeed the “Forgotten War” brought the U.S. one unforgettable hero.

Aerial France

Discover the coasts of France from both above and at ground level. Explore the history and culture of each coast and meet the people who live there. Uncover the essence of the seashores and probe the intimate and intricate relationship between the French and the sea.

The Silk Road
Monday November 15 @ 9 PM
Premiering New Season
A quarter of a century after becoming the first foreign TV production company allowed to film Silk Road inside communist China in 1980, they return to the region for a modern look to visit Loolan, Tibet, Taklamakan Desert, Xian, and then onto the former Soviet Central Asia, the Middle East and Turkey. With its swirling mix of ethnic identities, the region is now carving out a new period of history led by the resurgence of Islam.
