International hiphop mogul P. Diddy Hosts the 22nd Annual “MTV Video Music Awards” – airing LIVE and direct from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, FL. This starpacked celebration of the year's top artists, videos and video makers features performances by Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey, The Killers and Green Day. With a total of eight nods, Green Day tops the list of nominees – earning six for “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and two for “American Idiot”. Gwen Stefani splits six nominations over two different videos, with four for “Hollaback Girl” and two for “What You Waiting For”. Missy Elliott also rakes in six nods for “Lose Control”.
