Canada’s largest cricket tournament kicks off this summer with the GT20 Canada Cricket Tournament, in Brampton, Ontario. Games are played in a “20-over” format, which is a shortened version of cricket. Six teams from across Canada will compete, playing a total of 25 matches over 18 days. Each team consists of 16 players including two world renowned players, three players from Canada’s national cricket team, and three emerging cricketers.

Rugby Americas North Sevens

Canada will have home-field advantage for this summer’s Rugby Americas North Sevens, which takes place in Langford, B.C. and serves as the regional qualifier for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The Canadian women’s team will face off against Bermuda, Jamaica, Mexico, St Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines in a six-team, round-robin format with qualification for Paris 2024 on the line. On the men’s side, Canada and USA will be joined by Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Mexico, St Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines to total nine teams competing. The top-placed team will qualify for the Olympics and the second and third placed teams will go through to a final qualification tournament.
World Athletics Championships

Taking place in Budapest, Hungary, the World Athletics Championships are the crown jewel of the World Athletics global competition program. It is the third largest sporting event in the world, consisting of more than 2000 athletes, from more than 200 countries, competing for 49 medals.
