Premiere of TRUE DETECTIVE Season 3 Anchors Crave Free Preview Weekend, Jan. 11-14

It’s a Happy New Year for television lovers across Canada! Crave, Canada’s premium entertainment service, offers its first-ever free preview this weekend, delivering hours of premium entertainment to audiences across the country. The free preview weekend includes more than 15 Hollywood hit movies and the eagerly awaited Season 3 premiere of HBO’s hit drama series TRUE DETECTIVE starring Oscar® winner Mahershala Ali, who also recently took home a Golden Globe® award for his role in Green Book.

From Friday, Jan. 11 (11 a.m. ET/MT) to Monday, Jan. 14 (11 a.m. ET/MT), three of Crave’s linear channels – Crave 1, HBO 1, HBO 2 – are being unlocked so audiences can enjoy uncut and commercial-free hit movies, award-winning HBO content, and a sampling of SHOWTIME® hits.

The free preview is available via participating television providers across Canada including Bell, Bell Aliant, BellMTS, Cogeco, Eastlink, Rogers, Shaw, Shaw Direct, Telus, and others. Canadians should check their local listings for the full schedule and for channel numbers in their region.

As one of Variety’s most anticipated TV series of 2019, the third season of TRUE DETECTIVE premieres Sunday, Jan. 13 on HBO with two, back-to-back episodes at 9 and 10 p.m. ET.

Season 3 tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks and a mystery that deepens over decades. Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) stars as state police detective Wayne Hays, who in 1980, investigated the case of missing children Will and Julie Purcell. In 2015, the now-retired Hays is asked to look back on the twists of the unsolved case with a true-crime documentary producer alongside his old police partner Roland West (Stephen Dorff, Somewhere).
