BBC Earth‘s all-new immersive natural history series, Spy in the Ocean (4×60′; HD), narrated by David Tennant (Doctor Who), allows Canadian audiences to explore the hidden undersea world through cutting-edge hidden cameras known as spy creatures. These brand-new robotic spies are missioning on their most exciting challenge yet: exploring the ocean, one of Earth’s most magical and dynamic environments. Taking us places no spy camera has ever gone before– from the colour and beauty of coral reefs to the extremes of rocky coasts, new cameras include the largest ever spy creature, the spy whale, as well as the spy lobster, octopus and hammerhead, all revealing the unseen behaviour and complex relationships that thrive in the ocean’s depths. The series dives beneath the waves, giving incredible perspectives into the emotions we share with animals, looks at how ingenious creatures survive when faced with the challenges of the sea and shows viewers an ocean full of intelligence. Spy in the Ocean premieres Sunday, October 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on BBC Earth in Canada. BBC Earth in Canada is also available on Amazon Prime Video with Spy in the Ocean airing simultaneously on the platform.

Spy in the Ocean was produced by John Downer Productions for BBC, PBS and The WNET Group. John Downer serves as Creative Director. The Series Producer is Matthew Gordon and the Executive Producer is Philip Dalton (Polar Bear – Spy on the Ice, Earthflight). BBC Studios is handling global distribution.
