THE DOSE – Hosted by Dr. Brian Goldstein, CBC’s weekly health podcast is answering questions about COVID-19, in plain language. Topics include: coping with anxiety, managing addiction, knowing when to get tested, best practices for cleaning surfaces, and more. The latest episode offers advice on how to support loved ones in long-term care and keep them safe. New episodes are released Thursdays, with special bonus episodes also available.

THE SECRET LIFE OF CANADA – This popular history podcast is switching things up with THE CRASH COURSE – snack-size history lessons on a range of topics. First up: the history of Friendship Centres, an essential part of urban Indigenous life across the country.

THE STORY STORE – From CBC Podcasts and CBC Kids and run by CBC Kids hosts Gary the Unicorn and Mr. Orlando, THE STORY STORE SHORTIES (21×4) are short original audio stories, custom-ordered by kids, to bring big smiles. Two episodes will be released each week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, on CBC LISTEN or wherever podcasts are available.

Broadcasting on both CBC radio services throughout the day, CBC MUSIC has launched QUARANTUNES, a short, daily segment highlighting the music that Canadian artists have created during social isolation. QUARANTUNE segments include Rufus Wainwright’s “Robe Recitals” from his home in Los Angeles, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra performing together via Zoom, and Sam Roberts singing alongside his family band.

In this week’s edition, hosts Scott Rusell and Andi Petrillo look back at Rio 2016 swimming. Three young swimmers made a big splash in the pool, including then 16-year-old Penny Oleksiak. She brought home four medals, more than any Canadian had ever won at a single edition of the Games.
