The right to ride is up for grabs in Disney XD’s newest animated action series Motorcity, when it bows on Saturday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. ET as part of the Drift, Draft and Drive Marathon.

In the turbo-charged animated series Motorcity, it’s up to The Burners, a group of rebels led by 17-year-old Mike Chilton, to stop evil billionaire Abraham Kane from taking over their last oasis of freedom – a subterranean refuge called Motorcity.

The premiere episode “Battle for Motorcity,” airing Saturday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. ET, sees wicked Abraham Kane devising an attack on Motorcity prompting Mike and The Burners to go head-to-head with him in his own territory, Detroit Deluxe. When they unexpectedly fall into Kane’s latest technological trap, The Burners must find a way to escape before it’s too late. Following the premiere, new episodes of the series continue to air in its regular timeslot on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The series premiere speeds onto Disney XD as part of a Drift, Draft and Drive Marathon featuring episodes dedicated to cars and racing. The line-up, which airs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET, includes episodes from hit series including Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil, Phineas and Ferb and Fish Hooks. All episodes featured will be available on Disney XD OnDemand beginning May 29.

In advance of the May 26 premiere, viewers visiting DisneyXD.ca this month can play the new

Motorcity: Drive game to get a first look at the series. The six-level racing game is also available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and can be found free of charge at the iTunes App Store.
