Global’s primetime performance last night was nothing short of incredible. With 2 million viewers, the premiere of Elementary won its timeslot and claimed the title of the #1 new series of the season. What’s more, the super sleuth show outdid last season’s Thursday 10pm premiere by 62% (2+ Nat).
The evening started on an explosive note with the premiere of Last Resort, which attracted 1.3 million viewers, sinking CTV Two’s The X Factor by 52%. Proving it’s still a force to be reckoned with, Glee satisfied Canada’s need to sing with 1.3 million viewers watching episode three with Sarah Jessica Parker in a pivotal guest role. Add it up, and it was an all-Global evening with the Thursday premiere primetime average up 121% over fall 2011 (2+ Nat).
