You Pick It, We Play It. Movie Central Lets Viewers Program the Network this August.

Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central is giving our network programmers some time off this summer and letting our subscribers pick which film they want to see. Subscribers can vote online by choosing their favourite from a list of Hollywood hits. Each week the film with the most votes will air Wednesday at 9 p.m. MT / 8 p.m. PT during the month of August.

After seven days of online voting at http://moviecentral.ca/pickandplay, the chosen film will be announced on the Monday and will air the following Wednesday at 9 p.m. MT / 8 p.m. PT. The full schedule of voting dates and films are below:

Vote between July 30 – August 5. Winning film announced on August 6 and airing on August 8 :

• Horrible Bosses
• Your Highness
• Despicable Me

Vote between August 6 – 12. Winning film announced on August 13 and airing on August 15 :

• Bridesmaids
•  Moneyball
• Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Vote between August 13 – 19. Winning film announced on August 20 and airing on August 22 :

• The Hangover Part II
• Green Lantern
• Cars 2

Vote between August 20 – 26. Winning film announced on August 27 and airing on August 29 :

• Jack & Jill
• The Ides of March
• The Smurfs
