DOCTOR WHO Pushes Boundaries of SPACE and Time as Record-Breaking Premiere Delivers 538,000 Viewers

DOCTOR WHO and his TARDIS broke through barriers Saturday night on SPACE, drawing a record 538,000 total viewers for the Season 6 premiere, “The Impossible Astronaut”. Up 3% over the previous most-watched DOCTOR WHO episode, DOCTOR WHO is now the most-watched SPACE broadcast this year. The premiere also broke records among several key demographics including Adults 18-49 (up 7% with 292,000 viewers); Women 25-54 (up 50% with 111,000 viewers); and Women 18-49 (up 62% with 114,000 viewers).*

The first of a two-part season opener, “The Impossible Astronaut” left viewers on the edge of their seats as The Doctor and his crew encountered one of the most terrifying alien invaders since the Weeping Angels. In the upcoming episode “Day of the Moon”, airing this Saturday at 8 pm ET, The Doctor must escape the perfect prison and along with Amy, Rory and River, lead a revolution against them.
