TELETOON Gets Stoked This Summer with New Show, Tour and Contest


TELETOON is hitting the beach this summer as tomorrow, June 25, the channel broadcasts the world premiere of Stoked, the sun-soaked new tween comedy from the creators of 6TEEN and Total Drama Island. June 25 also marks the start of the TELETOON Get Stoked Tour, visiting ten locations across Canada featuring TELETOON trivia, prizes and a chance for visitors to get truly stoked on a surf board simulator. Meanwhile on, launching June 27, the Get Stoked Contest offers kids the chance to win a family trip to Orlando, Florida along with weekly Stoked prize packs.

Stoked follows a group of teens from across Canada who arrive at Sunset Island, B.C. for a summer of sun, sea, sand and most importantly surf. Working at a luxury resort they find that their plans for an endless summer of surfing might not be all that they hoped when, instead of a surfer’s paradise, they find a tacky tourist resort with rude guests, a run-down staff house and itchy, hideous uniforms. The show premieres on Thursday, June 25 at 7 pm ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes. New episodes will air throughout the summer on Sunday nights at 7 pm ET/PT beginning July 3.

Viewers can also get Stoked on Episodes one and two of the show will be available for streaming from June 25 with new episodes going online every Thursday, letting fans get all of the surf action four days before the episode airs on TELETOON. Exclusive Stoked games, wallpaper, icons and a Stoked music player, featuring the soundtrack of the show will roll out on throughout the summer.

TELETOON Get Stoked Tour

As well as catching the show on air and online, families can also enjoy the Stoked experience on the TELETOON Get Stoked Tour as it pulls into ten locations across Canada with trivia, prizes and the Stoked surf board simulator. Joining the tour this year Ubisoft will be on site, giving game lovers the chance to explore the latest Petz® and Imagine® titles in the Ubisoft Tent. Gamers can also take on challengers in Rayman Raving Rabbids® TV Party, playing the fun and fast-paced game on the Stoked trailer. Would-be surfers also have the choice of one of four Ubisoft backgrounds on the Stoked surf board simulator.

Returning this year, Bell TV and Bell TV Game Galaxy are on tour with TELETOON with a Game Galaxy game in the Surf Shack and an exclusive Stoked surf simulator Game Galaxy background. For those wishing to relax, Bell TV offers the Bell Pause Area where families can take a break while watching TELETOON shows on the Bell PVR.

Also part of the tour, prizes are up for grabs for those visitors willing to step-up to test their TELETOON trivia on the TELETOON Spin-to-Win Wheel with Stoked games ready for play in the Surf Shack. Attendees of the tour will also receive an exclusive iTunes card for a free download of the first two episodes of Stoked (available in English only).

The Get Stoked Contest

From June 27 TELETOON is giving away a family trip to Orlando in the Get Stoked Contest. Running until August 30, entrants will need to watch TELETOON to spot the weekly contest code and enter it on for a chance to win a weekly TELETOON prize pack and be entered into the grand prize draw for their chance to win a trip for four to Florida. Subscribers to the TELETOON VIP will gain bonus entries for the contest as well as a secret code word to use at any TELETOON Get Stoked Tour stop for a special TELETOON VIP prize pack.
