Leslie Nielsen stars as Les Mutton (a.k.a. Zeroman), Fair City’s beloved 64-year-old postman who is also the incompetent possessor of superpowers. Saddled with the deep-seated desire to live up to the impossible standards of his dead secret agent dad, Zeroman dedicates his life to fighting crime, upholding justice, and foiling the evil plots of washed up child star Rusty Woodenwater (Kevin McDonald) and his former talent agents turned henchmen Don (Don Cherry) and Ron (Ron MacLean). From the “Nerve Centre of Justice,” hidden deep in his mother’s backyard, Zeroman confers with his often frustrated, but always optimistic, assistant Ty Cheese (Ryan Reynolds) and Gary Glengarry (James Watts), the 12-year-old sidekick-in-training. Zeroman is a superhero who is never afraid to act now and think later…ok, so maybe sometimes he forgets to think at all, but he’s never afraid…except of his mom.

Set in the pre-historic town of Bedrock, Fred Flintstone (Alan Reed) and lovable wife Wilma (Jean Vander Pyl) have a yabba-dabba-do time living next door to Barney (Mel Blanc) and Betty Rubble (Bea Benaderet, Gerry Johnson). Endless Stone-Age versions of modern gadgets are on display in the series including a woolly mammoth that provides water for shaving, dishes, and showering; a pelican that doubles as a waste bin and a clothes washer; and a saw-tooth dinosaur who mows the lawn.

In Megas XLR, a suburban slacker named Coop discovers an enormous futuristic battle robot in a local New Jersey garbage dump. Coop retools the robot as one might customize a hot rod and inadvertently attracts the attention of the Glorft, a race of evil reptilian aliens from the future who has turned their sights on conquering Earth. Meanwhile, the battle robot’s original pilot, Kiva, tracks the robot through time and arrives on earth to claim the weapon she needs to save earth. However, due to Coop’s "modifications," Kiva can no longer fly the robot. Now, she must team up with the reluctant Coop and his best friend, Jamie, to save the future from the alien onslaught.

Although The Brak SHOW takes place somewhere in outer space, its setting looks an awful lot like any American suburb circa 1965. While attending Learnmore High School, Brak and his best pal, Zorak, get into all sorts of trouble, like stealing the mascot of Learnmore’s rival, overfeeding a neighbour’s fish and stealing a magic candy bar. Brak’s Dad, a small human who loves to give nonsensical advice, and Mom, a perfectly coiffed domestic goddess, provide a pretty stable home life for Brak. In the end, everything turns out just fine–and there’s usually time for a song or two.
