MuchMusic's Secret Is Out: THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER Begins Dec. 7

Much Music

MuchMusic has a secret and so does 16-year-old Amy Juergens. MuchMusic proudly brings Canadian fans the ratings hit THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER with the Season 2 premiere on Monday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. ET. The heartfelt drama focuses on relationships between family and friends dealing with teenaged issues including a teen pregnancy. Beginning Monday, Nov. 30, viewers can get caught up on the first season with back-to-back episodes weeknights at 6 and 7 p.m. ET on MuchMusic and on demand at muchmusic.com/secretlife.

Fun-loving Amy (Shailene Woodley) returns from band camp only to realize the night she spent with up and coming ladies-man, Ricky (Daren Kagasoff), resulted in an unplanned pregnancy. Amy must quickly adapt to all the added stresses associated with her new situation. It puts a strain on her parents’ (Molly Ringwald and Mark Derwin) already rocky marriage and she must balance the two men in her life as well – baby-daddy Ricky and new boyfriend, the emotionally-driven nice guy Ben (Ken Baumann). But as Amy’s secret becomes public, she realizes she’s not alone. Virtually every teen at Grant High carries secrets of their own.

THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER strikes a chord with audiences amidst a sea of prime-time teenage reality shows. A hit in the U.S. since its debut in 2008, the Season 2 premiere broke its own record, garnering its largest audience to date with 4.7 million viewers.* The series has won two Teen Choice Awards and is nominated for a 2010 People’s Choice Award for Favourite TV Obsession.
