| Gemini Award win for Peace Point's Reality Obsessed on TVtropolis |

Peace Point Entertainment Group has won it’s first ever Gemini Award last night for the series Reality Obsessed, hosted by Murtz Jaffer and currently broadcast on TVtropolis in Canada. The award went to Peace point director Daniel Oron for Best Direction in a Reality Series. Daniel is a veteran director with Peace Point Entertainment Group and previously directed another TVtropolis series entitled FANatical.
President and Executive Producer Les Tomlin states “We are very excited about the company’s first ever Gemini win. It’s especially exciting for Daniel Oron, a talented director who has been working with Peace Point since our inception 7 years ago.” This fun and unique series about the world of reality television just wrapped Season II production in Los Angeles and Ontario and is currently in post-production for its second season commission that will debut in 2010 on TVtropolis. International distribution for the series is handled by Tricon Films and Television in Toronto.
The series is hosted by 28 year-old Toronto native Murtz Jaffer who is considered the world’s foremost reality-TV expert. Murtz began his career with his own website debunking the myths around the major reality-TV programs. He became friends with many of the biggest reality stars and began to gain attention in mainstream media such as The New York Times and the Toronto Star. This led to his own TV series that debuted last fall on TVtropolis. Peace Point Entertainment Group will once again capture the uniqueness that is Murtz Jaffer in a second season of 13 x :30 episodes of this groundbreaking series about being reality obsessed.
This is Peace Point’s second commission by TVtropolis following FANatical, a 26-part documentary series on the most passionate of TV fans that debuted on Tvtropolis in 2007.
“Reality Obsessed is an innovative series celebrating and dissecting one of TV’s biggest genres of the last decade: reality television,” says Peace Point Entertainment Group President and Executive Producer Les Tomlin. “Each episode of Reality Obsessed has Jaffer on the hunt for answers to a particular ‘big picture’ question in the realm of ‘reality.’ He’s the reality-TV geek in all of us and his mission in life is to find out all that is reality television, going to any length to reveal its inner-workings and intricacies—and we, the viewers, get to ride co-pilot,” says Les Tomlin.
