Sportsnet Sets Network Record: Delivers Most-Watched Blue Jays Season Ever

Sportsnet’s coverage of the Toronto Blue Jays 2012 regular season set a network record, attracting the highest average audience ever in Sportsnet history for its Blue Jays telecasts. An average audience of 540,000* viewers watched Blue Jays baseball on Sportsnet this season, marking a 7 per cent increase over the 2011 season average of 507,000 viewers, and a 25 per cent increase over the 2010 season (average audience 432,000 viewers).

Sportsnet 590 The FAN also delivered significant audience growth for its Blue Jays broadcasts this season, reaching an overall audience of 1.45 million listeners.  This marks a 15 per cent increase from the same period in 2011 (1.26 million listeners), while audiences in the key A25-54 demographic are up 8.4 per cent.

All 162 Blue Jays games this season aired live on Sportsnet/Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet 590 The FAN.  Sportsnet’s baseball coverage continues with the MLB post-season beginning today, with the Wild Card games, followed by the AL/NL Division Series, AL/NL Championship Series, and the World Series.
