In the wake of widespread gun violence across the GTA, CityNews and 680News join forces to deliver a one-hour special entitled Toronto Under Fire, encouraging Torontonians to join the conversation on the growing concerns around safety and gun violence in our city, airing Thursday, July 19 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Citytv, CityNews Channel and 680News. Prior to the special, CityNews at 5 and CityNews at 6 will also tackle this pressing issue in their newscasts.
Anchored by Gord Martineau alongside Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair, Toronto Under Fire will broadcast live from the Citytv newsroom at Yonge-Dundas Square. The special will feature live reports with reporters Avery Haines from the site of the recent Scarborough shootings, Roger Petersen from Yonge-Dundas Square across from the Eaton Centre, and 680News crime specialist Carl Hantske from Little Italy.
