TSN brings curling fans 57 hours of coverage of the 2003 Nokia Brier – the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship – from Halifax, NS beginning with Draw #1 on Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. (all times Eastern) and continuing daily until March 7.
TSN’s broadcast schedule includes up to three draws each day from March 2-7 (see attached schedule) and culminates with the playoffs on Friday, March 7 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
TSN’s established and respected curling broadcast team of Vic Rauter, Linda Moore and Ray Turnbull return to the broadcast booth to provide comprehensive commentary and analysis for the afternoon and evening draws.
Esteemed TSN broadcaster John Wells and former two-time Canadian curling champion Cathy Gauthier will also be on hand throughout the annual event to cover the morning draws.
ESPN Classic Canada complements TSN’s extensive 2003 Nokia Brier coverage with Classic Nokia Brier Night on Friday, Feb. 28, beginning at 6 p.m. with TSN Profile: Ed Werenich. Hosted by Rod Black, the program highlights the life and career of one of the most interesting personalities in all of curling. ESPN Classic Canada continues to clear the house at 6:30 p.m. with an ESPN Classic Canada Brier Special, featuring Ray Turnbull and Linda Moore looking back at some of the greatest players, moments, and memories from the rich history of the Nokia Brier. Classic Nokia Brier Night culminates at 7 p.m. with the 1999 Nokia Brier Final, when Guy Hemmings’ rink pulled off a remarkable win in their semi-final game against Saskatchewan.
