TSN brings curling fans 57 hours of coverage of the 2003 Ford World Curling Championships – the final event of the 2002-03 curling season – from Winnipeg from April 5 to 12. In co-operation with the World Curling Federation, TSN will act as the host broadcaster for the World feed.
TSN hits the ice for three draws each day from Saturday, April 5 to Wednesday, April 9 and two draws on Thursday, April 10 (see attached schedule). TSN’s coverage culminates with the women’s semifinal on Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. ET and the men’s semifinal on Saturday, April 12 at 9 a.m. ET.
TSN’s esteemed and respected curling broadcast team of Vic Rauter, Linda Moore and Ray Turnbull return to the TSN booth for the afternoon and evening draws, while John Wells and former two-time Canadian Curling Champion Cathy Gauthier will cover the morning draws.
WTSN complements TSN’s extensive 2003 Ford World Curling Championships broadcast schedule with coverage of eight women’s draws from April 5 to 10 and the women’s semifinal on Friday, April 11 at 11 p.m. ET.
The 2003 Ford World Curling Championships features 20 of the world’s best men’s and women’s teams representing 13 countries, including Canada.
Known as Canada’s curling network, TSN has the most extensive curling coverage in the country, including the Continental Cup, JVC/TSN Women’s Skins Game, the McCain/TSN Men’s Skins Game, Canadian Mixed Curling Championships, Canadian Seniors Curling Championships, Scott Tournament of Hearts, Nokia Brier, World Junior Championships and Ford World Curling Championships.
