The Sarnia Sting take one of the best scorers in the Ontario Hockey League into the Sleeman Centre when they visit the Guelph Storm on Sunday, January 11 at 3 p.m. (ET) on Sportsnet Ontario.

Calgary defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 7-1 Wednesday night for their 12th straight win. The Hitmen have been the story of the Western Hockey League – sporting the league’s best record and icing the league’s top scorer in Brandon Kozun. Kozon has 64 points in 44 games and was named the Husky WHL Player of the Month for December with 19 points. The Hitmen will also welcome forward Brett Sonne back into the lineup. Sonne was a recent gold medal winner with Team Canada at the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championship. Swift Current is fifth in the Eastern Conference and coming off a 2-1 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday night. The Broncos have won four of their last seven games. Brandon forward Keegan Dansereau is tied for first in the CHL with 14 power play goals so far this season.

Sting forward Justin DiBenedetto sits third in league scoring with 53 points. DiBenedetto had 93 points last season and was drafted by the New York Islanders 175th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Sarnia is coming off a 5-4 defeat to the Ottawa 67s on the weekend. Guelph won its sixth straight with a 6-5 overtime victory over the Owen Sound Attack. Storm forward Michael Latta was credited with the winner in the extra frame. With the league’s trade deadline set for this Friday, the Storm did make a move on Wednesday. Guelph acquired a second round pick in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection from the Belleville Bulls in exchange for forward Luke Pither. Storm coach/general manager Jason Brooks hopes to use the draft pick to land a bigger deal before the deadline.
