The Sunnyvale denizens are up to their usual hijinks in six all-new episodes of Trailer Park Boys and they’ve got plenty up their sleeves this season – including a guest appearance by Maury Chaykin (The Sweet Hereafter, Whale Music) and a high definition episode. The new season begins Sunday, April 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Showcase.
“These boys – and girls – have captured the hearts of viewers and critics alike and the series is showing no signs of slowing down. The audience for Trailer Park Boys has increased six-fold since its launch in 2001,” says Tara Ellis, VP of Content for Showcase.
Mike Smith as Bubbles, John Paul Tremblay as Julian, and Robb Wells as Ricky in Season 6 of Trailer Park Boys
Over the course of Season 6, Bubbles (Mike Smith) decides to open a legitimate business doing what he loves best – taking care of cats – with an impressive feline dream vacation area and theme park called “Kittyland”; Julian (John Paul Tremblay) attempts to get into the real estate business; Ricky’s (Robb Wells) ability to be a good father is challenged by a chicken; Randy (Pat Roach) and Mr. Lahey (John Dunsworth) re-negotiate their relationship; Cory (Cory Bowles) and Trevor (Michael Jackson) become entrepreneurs; Ray (Barrie Dunn) gets kicked out of the park for living in the cab of his old rig and throwing “piss jugs” out the window; and J-Roc (Jonathan Torrens) is about to become a father thanks to two hot baby-mamas. Episode 3 was partly shot in high definition. Maury Chaykin guest stars as a police chief in the final episode of the season.
Of course, TPB wouldn’t be the same without trailer park girls Sara (Sarah E. Dunsworth), Lucy (Lucy Decoutere) and Barb (Shelley Thompson). Also back for season 6 is J-Roc’s main man Tyrone (Tyrone Parsons). Series creator and head writer Mike Clattenburg directs.
Season 5 of Trailer Park Boys will be available on DVD and home video at local retailers on April 25. The Trailer Park Boys feature film is scheduled to hit theatres this summer.
First introduced to audiences in 2001, Trailer Park Boys follows the story of Julian (John Paul Tremblay), Ricky (Robb Wells) and Bubbles (Mike Smith) – three guys whose view of the world has been shaped by their experiences growing up in Sunnyvale Trailer Park.
