Some highlights for the fall season of HGTV.
Debbie Travis’ Facelift (Broadcast Premiere) – April 2003
Combining reality television with innovative design, Debbie Travis’ Facelift is a 13-episode series that will have Travis renovating and redecorating spaces of unsuspecting homeowners. Conspiring and consulting with spouses, colleagues and family members, Travis works covertly to reinvent the space while the unwary homeowner is away. Upon their return, the homeowner is surprised by the new look of their space and their reaction – be it pure joy or complete frustration – is all caught on film. An unedited confessional will be added to the end of each episode so the viewer will learn how the homeowner really feels about the new design.
Weekend Warriors (Canadian Premiere) – Friday, Sept. 20 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT (weekly)
Blisters and backaches are badges of honour on Weekend Warriors. This 13 episode series chronicles apartment-dwellers and homeowners as they tackle weekend home improvement projects. Follow do-it-yourselfers through the planning, execution and completion of projects ranging from laying down a hardwood floor to adding style to a fireplace with a new facade and mantle. Share their satisfaction at having completed their own home improvements – with a little help from family and friends.
World’s Most Extreme Homes (Canadian Premiere) – September 22nd @ 8pm ET/PT
Take a globe-trotting tour of some of the world’s most unusual homes. Join host Dale Rivera as he visits a giant golf ball-shaped house in Arizona, a home that looks like a flying saucer perched on a hill in South Africa, and an underground dugout home in Australia. This passport to unusual abodes also includes home tours in England, Japan and Argentina.
