Five years and seventy-nine episodes later, television’s most outrageous animated series continues to push the boundaries of social satire when it tackles sex abuse in the church in the sixth season premiere of SOUTH PARK, debuting exclusively on The Comedy Network Friday, December 6 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. In the first of 17 all-new episodes, Priest Maxi travels to Rome in an effort to put an end to a sex scandal. Oh yeah – and Cartman craps out of his mouth.
When a sex abuse scandal negatively impacts church attendance in South Park, Priest Maxi travels to Italy to confront religious leaders about a solution. After intensive counseling about the issue, the boys try to understand why anyone would want to put something up their butts.
Cartman comes up with a solution and in the process answers the age-old question: “If I put food up my ass will I crap out my mouth?” Intro-Rectal Gestion becomes the new craze in South Park, and Martha Stewart gets in on the action too. “Everyone knows that some foods are simple to shove up your ass,” she says, “but we can still eat our favourite foods.” The domestic doyenne then prepares a turkey and demonstrates how to “eat” it through “intro-rectal.”
Back in Rome, Priest Maxi endures the real-life challenge of a 4K video game, circa 1982, in his attempt to eradicate the scandal. In the end, the episode becomes more than a pastiche of grotesque bodily functions and deviant sexual practices when Priest Maxi makes a plea for change and a return to religion and the church.
In other episodes in the new season:
In homage to THE SIMPSONS, Cartman tries to retrieve his sea men from Mrs. Choksondik’s stomach.
The boys find out the secret behind Jared’s weight loss is that the company who sponsored him gave him Aides.
In an effort to win big prizes, the boys sign Butters up as one of the freaks on the “Maury Povich” show.
All the kids in South Park are wild with anticipation to see the first trailer of the new Terrance and Phillip movie.
The boys fire Butters as their replacement for Kenny, unleashing his dark side.
Bebe is the first girl in the fourth grade to “develop,” threatening the boy’s friendships and society in general.
Encore episodes of SOUTH PARK additionally air Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on The Comedy Network.
