If money makes the world go around, then REPORT ON BUSINESS TELEVISION should be at the centre of the television universe.

Today, three years after first arriving to the Canadian television landscape, REPORT ON BUSINESS TELEVISION (ROBTv) announces it is RELAUNCHING under the auspices of CTV News. Beginning MONDAY, APRIL 29, ROBTv will unveil:
· A retooled schedule — featuring three key flagship programs — THE OPEN, LUNCH MONEY and THE CLOSE.
· A new Calgary-based, Western Canada news bureau
· A new on-air look bolstered by a new studio live from the newsroom of sister-publication, Report on Business
Our focus will be the three most critical times of the day with comprehensive coverage at the market‘s open, midday and at the close, explains Jack Fleischmann, General Manager of ROBTv. We‘ll continue to deliver timely reports, analysis and context and our new Calgary Bureau will provide us added strength, and an enhanced ability to report on both the resources sector and a full range of publicly traded companies based in Western Canada.
As CANADA‘S ONLY ALL-BUSINESS NETWORK devoted to business, finance and economics, ROBTv is available in 4.3 MILLION HOMES across the country on basic cable, satellite and the Internet. It will continue to deliver the important financial stories of the day — from personal investments to global economics. A re-tooled schedule will centre around three key weekday programs — THE OPEN (9 a.m. ET) which kicks off the trading day; LUNCH MONEY, (12 noon ET) which reports on the on-going events at midday; and THE CLOSE (weekdays at 4 p.m. ET) which wraps up the day‘s events with reports and analysis from the major markets in Toronto and New York.
Other additions to the ROBTv team include DANIELLE BOCHOVE, formerly of Reuters TV (London), who will anchor BUSINESS DAY (weekdays from 3 – 4 p.m. ET) and reporters JEFF LITTLE and HELENA DEVRIES who have signed on to ROBTv’s new Calgary Bureau.
THE NEW LOOK
Re-launching a business service couldn‘t be complete without a new Network graphics and music package. These elements were envisioned and designed by the talented in-house graphics team at CTV. In addition, construction of various new program sets began in March. Chief among them is today‘s announcement that ROBTv will unveil a new studio and anchor desk located inside the Report On Business newsroom at its Bell Globemedia print partner The Globe and Mail. The new studio will allow ROBTv to draw more fully on its sister publication‘s enormous editorial resources including providing immediate access to many of Canada’s leading business journalists.
THE NEW POWERHOUSE SCHEDULE
Beginning Monday, April 29, the *NEW* ROBTv schedule will feature the following:
THE OPEN – (weekdays from 9 – 10 a.m. ET) – Get set for the trading day with anchor MICHAEL HAINSWORTH and ROBTv’s team of editors and reporters as they bring viewers the latest breaking business, financial and economic news driving the markets.
