The hit comedy series starring writer/producer/comedian Larry David returns for a seventh season. Blending fiction with reality, David stars as his painfully awkward and brutally honest self in the off-kilter, improvised half-hour comedy about his ordinary life filled with extraordinary predicaments. Also starring Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines and Susie Essman. Season seven guest stars include Meg Ryan, Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen and Dr. Phil, and the new season will feature a highly anticipated story arc with the former cast of Seinfeld. This will be the first time a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm will be available to western Canada subscribers.
On Sunday, September 20 at 8 p.m., HBO Canada presents the network premeire of Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm, the 1998 one-hour comedy special that was the basis for the series.

Writer Jon Katz is deep in a mid-life crisis and acting on impulse adopts a border collie. The dog turns out to be crazier than Jon is, and quickly turns his life upside down. A Dog Year is based on the memoirs of Jon Katz, and stars Jeff Bridges, Lauren Ambrose, Lois Smith, and Domhnall Gleeson.

Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project is a two time Emmy®-winning documentary (Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special and Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety, Music or Comedy Special). The comedic legend is honoured by a host of Hollywood stars in the documentary directed by John Landis, who met Rickles as an 18-year-old production assistant on-set of the film Kelly’s Heroes. Decades later, Landis uses home videos, old TV and film clips, and interviews from the many people in Rickles’ life to reveal the famously cranky comedian as a warm hearted friend and the last comedian of his era.

This documentary focuses on the effects a plant closure has on the lives and businesses of a small town. In Moraine, Ohio, just outside of Dayton, General Motors announced on June 3, 2008 that it would be closing its assembly plant. For those who accepted the buyout June 27, 2008 was their last day. The filmmakers capture firsthand opinions of the town’s residents as they move through these unstable and worrying times.
