Bell Media and Tim Hortons Partner to Bring The Last Timbit Musical to Crave Audiences, August 12

On the heels of a limited stage run in Toronto, Bell Media and Tim Hortons have joined forces to transform the acclaimed musical, The Last Timbit, into a 80-min Crave special. Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Toronto’s Elgin Theatre, THE LAST TIMBIT premieres exclusively on Crave on Monday, August 12.

Produced by Bell Media Studios for Crave. Producers for Bell Media are Emmanuel Groneveldt and Claudia Abate. The filming and musical are produced by Tim Hortons and Michael Rubinoff (Come From Away), with music and lyrics by Anika Johnson and Britta Johnson, and book by Nick Green.

To ensure wide reach and generate excitement, Bell Media is implementing a comprehensive media strategy to promote THE LAST TIMBIT. This includes leveraging the power of its multi-platform offering, including ads on Crave, digital, audio, and linear.

About The Last Timbit

Inspired by real Canadian stories, The Last Timbit follows a group of strangers who wait out the snowstorm of the decade in a Tim Hortons. In this hilarious and heartfelt musical, this unlikely group comes together to explore family and community, and finds the best in hard times, all while battling for the last Birthday Cake Timbit.

The Last Timbit stars Chilina Kennedy (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Andrew Broderick, Eric Craig (Paradise Square),  DeAnn deGruijterSara Farb (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Barbara Fulton (Come From Away), Kaya Kanashiro (SORT OF), Peter Millard, Danté PrinceKimberly-Ann Truong (Miss Saigon) and Jake Epstein (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical).

The Last Timbit features music and lyrics by Anika Johnson and Britta Johnson, a book by Nick Green, direction by Brian Hill, choreography by Genny Sermonia, orchestrations and music supervision by Lynne Shankel, music direction by Jonathan Corkal-Astorga, scenic and costume design by Kelly Wolf, lighting design by Jareth Li, sound design by Josh Liebert, production management by Ray Salverda, stage management by Seren Brooke Lannon, and general management by associate producer Rob Richardson.
