TSN and CTV have signed a new four-year deal with the PGA TOUR, effective January 2003, providing extensive coverage of an unprecedented 270 hours of LIVE action from 41 PGA TOUR events this year.
TSN will televise exclusive weekly early-round live coverage of all PGA TOUR tournaments throughout the golf season. In addition, TSN will air complete coverage of 13 PGA TOUR tournaments in 2003, beginning with all four rounds of the Mercedes Championships. The greenside action gets underway with the first round on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. ET and continues with the final three rounds from January 10-12 at 7 p.m. ET. As part of the PGA TOUR deal, TSN and CTV have secured exclusive rights to the Bell Canadian Open, AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, THE PLAYERS Championship, THE TOUR Championship presented by Dynegy and all four World Golf Championships.

Over the next four years, TSN and CTV will team up to produce LIVE coverage of Canada’s prestigious PGA TOUR event – the Bell Canadian Open. In 2003, TSN and CTV will broadcast a total of 24 hours of LIVE coverage of the event from September 4-7 and will televise features and profiles of athletes and past winners.
TSN’s and CTV’s entire golf schedule this year includes nearly 600 hours of golf coverage, including the first two rounds of the Masters and complete coverage of the U.S. Open, British Open, PGA Championship, the Presidents Cup and the TELUS Skins Game.
In addition, ESPN Classic Canada will provide more than 60 hours of classic PGA TOUR action in 2003, including magazine shows such as Golf’s Greatest Legends and The Best of the PGA TOUR. Classic Golf on ESPN Classic Canada can be seen every Tuesday from 9 p.m.-12 midnight ET.
