The runaway success of The Osbournes on CTV can only mean one thing: Season 2 can’t be too #*%*#+! far behind!
To re-introduce viewers to the family, CTV will air two specials in late January. First, Catching Up With The Osbournes will premiere Tuesday, January 21 (9:30-10 p.m. ET). Hosted by Sharon Osbourne, the 30-minute prelude will give Osbourne fans an update on what her kin has been up to as she dispatches them on a trek through Hollywood. The 9:30 p.m. timeslot means the special will be “bleeped” across the country. One week later, CTV will present a one-hour encore broadcast of Ozzy Uncut airing Tuesday, January 28 (9-10 p.m.). The special is an exclusive and intimate portrait of heavy metal pioneer Ozzy Osbourne and his family in their earlier days.
CTV aired Season One of The Osbournes last Fall (2002) for the first time on conventional TV. The series was an instant success debuting to 1.67 million viewers* (2+) of whom, 80% were viewers in the coveted Adults 18-49 demographic. The 10-part season finished with an average minute audience of 1.52 million viewers; a heady feat given the series was broadcast on CTV alone.
