CBC has ended its long relationship with the Toronto Blue Jays and, for the first time since the era of the old Montreal Royals, absolutely no games will be seen on Canadian broadcast television this summer.
Rogers SportsNet will carry about 120 Blue Jays games while TSN will take the rest. Rogers is also part owner of the team. Die-hard Jays fans will be forced to get a dish or subscribe to cable TV, also owned by Rogers.
The Montreal Expos are also without a TV contract again, except for when they happen to play the Jays.
