CBC’s HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA begins its coverage with three games Wednesday, April 9: Viewers on the full network (except in Ottawa, Quebec and Alberta) will see Mats Sundin lead the Toronto Maple Leafs into Philadelphia for a battle with Jeremy Roenick and the Flyers (7 p.m. ET). Viewers in Ottawa and Quebec will see Alexei Yashin and the New York Islanders take on his former mates, the Ottawa Senators, led by Daniel Alfredsson and Patrick Lalime (7 p.m. ET). Viewers in Alberta will see another great dual between Mike Modano and the Dallas Stars as they host Mike Comrie and the red-hot Oilers at 7:30 p.m. On evenings when there are multiple “early games”, CBC’s HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA will rebroadcast games that were not seen in the various regions to those regions in Late Night programming.
