Tricon Films & Television along with Toronto-based Shark Teeth Films, announce the launch of the CGI/live-action kid’s series in development, SMALLFOOT. The teaser has been licensed to CBBC’s My Toons in the UK, a hub for the funniest, quirkiest, coolest, short toons.
“The My Toons site is a great place to try out new shows, new talent and new formats which hopefully will benefit the audience, the producer and the broadcaster,” said Jon Rutherford, Vice President, International Sales and Acquisitions at Tricon Films & Television.
Created by Adrian Carter and Tom Mudd at Shark Teeth Films, SMALLFOOT, a hilarious and rambunctious action-comedy for kids, is based on the comedic and mischievous adventures of two miniature friends in the big city. Smallfoot – a miniature Sasquatch – a tiny Bigfoot – a micro Yeti – is around twice as big as a mouse and is a species unknown to science. He’s the new kid on the block and he’s out of his element. Luckily for Smallfoot, a resourceful mouse named Larry has decided to take him under his wing. Unluckily for Smallfoot, Larry is a chatterbox and a know-it-all, and his blabbermouth gets the two of them in trouble all the time.
“SMALLFOOT is a distinctive show with a unique, completely original style of production,” said Shark Teeth Films’ Tom Mudd, producer of SMALLFOOT. “Through on-camera techniques and digital post wizardy, the characters have life and a deep sparkle of intelligence. They feel like real creatures doing hilarious things.”
